I am a researcher and have been in DC for 9 months, I would like to plan a road trip starting from DC, all the way down to Virginia->N. Carolina->S. Carolina->Georgia->Florida->Alabama->Tennessee->Kentucky->W. Virginia, and go back to DC. It will be a casual backpacking schedule, tends to explore the unfamiliar scenes and cities and maybe lasting 10-12 days.
